Function of Walking & Running Insoles/Inserts
These insoles are designed to minimize the negative impacts of walking, running, and marathoning on the feet, ankles, shins, and knees. Walking/running insoles typically feature a moderate amount of cushioning to provide a comfortable footbed for your feet, cushioning pads at the heel and forefoot to assist in impact shock absorption, a deep heel cup to promote foot and ankle stability, and either a cushioned, semi-rigid orthotic, or rigid orthotic arch support to keep the arch of the foot supported at all times.
Walking and running insoles can assist in the prevention of shin splints, sore arches, sore heels, sore forefeet, and general foot fatigue, which are all common after walking or running for extended periods of time, or after walking/running on hard surfaces like concrete and asphalt.
Help runners to correct running posture, relieve fatigue, and promote blood circulation.
